Diving Description:
- We use a full 6mm farmer john wetsuit with 10-17 kg of lead. Dry suite is ideal but not necessary
-there is boat diving available on weekends through buceo magallanes, based from the yacht club.
There is shore diving available through the Green Tours based at Casa el Mosaico
SPECIAL PRICES for DIVING in ANTOFAGASTA!
This is the dealio: $25.000 pesos for full gear and tank, on an organized boat dive trip with Carlos, or a shore dive with Marcelo. $14.000 pesos if you have your own gear. $5.000 pesos rental for a full extra tank. There is a 2 hour snorkeling class available for $7000 pesos with our friend Alejandra. Not bad hey!
So this what the Greentours recommends if you want to dive:
Make a reservation at Casa el Mosaico, and ask about the availability
of diving. Marcelo, the owner, is a PADI Divemaster and in love with
the sea, so he will do his best to get you in the water. Apart from
offering the weekend services of Buceo Magallanes, Marcelo offers shore
diving and diving/camping trips during the week! He will guide a maximum
of 4 divers because of the advanced conditions! Always with fresh seafood
